Our Story
One Third Studio is a dynamic design trio founded by Amna Bin Bishr, Duna Alajlan, and Dania Alajlan—three female designers committed to creating innovative works that honor the rich heritage of the United Arab Emirates.
The inception of the studio was fueled by a deep desire to honor the UAE's heritage while meeting the evolving demands of modern consumers. Each founder brings a diverse set of experiences, resulting in a collaborative approach that fosters creativity and originality.
Meet the Founders
Amna Bin Bishr
An Emirati born in 2000, Amna holds a Bachelor's degree in Interior Architecture and Design from the University of Sharjah.
Duna Alajlan
Born in 2000 in Dubai with Iraqi roots, Duna shares the same degree in Interior Architecture and Design.
Dania Alajlan
Born in 1995, Dania holds a Bachelor's in Architectural Engineering (University of Sharjah) and a Master's in Urban Planning (American University of Sharjah).
Ethos & Sustainability
The studio values authenticity and originality, striving to infuse each design with elements that reflect the UAE's deep cultural traditions. One Third Studio combines traditional Emirati motifs with contemporary aesthetics, promoting the sustainability of traditional crafts within the Emirati community.
At the heart of our ethos is sustainability. The team prioritizes eco-friendly materials and energy-efficient processes, recognizing the importance of environmentally responsible practices. Beyond sustainability, we actively contribute to the revitalization of traditional Emirati crafts, ensuring these skills are preserved for future generations.
